PURPOSE: To advise the family of the club members on the best way to dispose of a member's collection either before or after death.
MEMBERSHIP: The South Miami Stamp Club (SMSC) Member should be a member in good standing and have their dues paid up to date. In the event of accident or illness and the member's dues have not been paid, the SMSC Estate Advisory Committee will consider each request on an individual basis.
NON-MEMBERS: If requested The SMSC Advisory Committee will consider the same for non-members, for a fee. The fee will be based on the organization, size and complexity of the collection.
RECORDS: It will be helpful to have as much written information as possible on the collection such as location of collection, lists of items, and any specific directives. A copy of this letter or multiple copies should be included with the collection or with the will. Those members who utilize the computer may wish to save this information on a computer disk.
COMMITTEE: The Estate Advisory Committee is appointed by the SMSC President so the committee members may change from time to time. Members of the committee may not purchase any items from the collection but may offer a sealed bid with the approval of the other committee members.

AMERICAN PHILATELIC SOCIETY (APS): The APS also has an Estate & Expertizing Service and may be contacted directly by heirs of APS members.
